The Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer, and Hawthorn Woods donated over 100 pounds of Butterball Turkeys to St. Mathew's Lutheran Church in Hawthorn Woods for their upcoming community dinner on Thanksgiving Day. This is the third year the Club has participated in the event. For the past two years, Jim Dopler, Past Club President, and his wife Marilyn have helped prepare and serve the meal. This year's dinner will be served on Thursday, November 22nd. Additional details are available on the church's web site. The Club makes donations and/or serves in a number of other food related charities each year including: the food pantry at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Buffalo Grove, and the Emmaus House community dinner at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Zurich.
