Our Rotary Club completed its most recent project this past week with the installation of a new Little Free Library (LFL) at the Community Park in Hawthorn Woods.  The park is located at the northwest corner of Quentin and Old McHenry Roads.  The LFL, which is located between the pavilion and the children's playground, is in the shape of a rustic red barn, selected to match the style of the nearby Village Hall and Administrative Center.  The LFL was stocked with books generously donated by Club members over the past several weeks.  The Project was initiated by Club Secretary and President-Elect Jim Dopler with additional design and construction assistance from Don Biciste.  Installation work was completed by the Village of Hawthorn Woods.  Club members will all have a chance to view the new LFL later this summer when the Club sponsors one of the Concerts in the Park on August 5th.This is the second LFL donated by the Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer, and Hawthorn Woods.  The first was installed last year at the Foglia YMCA in Lake Zurich.
