A Thank You Note from the Lake County Haven, Libertyville

Laura Sabino, Executive Director, The Lake County Haven, Libertyville, recently sent us a "Thank You" card as follows.  Thank you for your donation of $250.00 for our Adopt-a-Night program.  By sponsoring a night at the Haven's shelter, you provided safety, sanctuary, and the opportunity for a new start for homeless women and children.  Because of you there was a safe shelter, a warm bed, and a nutritious meal.  There was counseling, career help, and emotional support.  There was a caring community for women and children who have endured extensive trauma.  Your gift has changed people's lives, forever.  On behalf of the people you reached out and helped: thank you !  A hand written note was also included as follows.  Thank you so much for adopting December 20th at our shelter in honor of your 20th anniversary.  Our shelter was full with eleven women and children working hard to become independent.  One special moment for our home that evening was being able to hear one of our young moms sing a lullaby to her child as she rocked her to sleep.  This was possible because of your generosity.  Thank you.  Lake County Haven.
