Announcement: President Alan Nerad introduced Rotary District Governor Lyle Staab and Assistant Governor Rich Lalley. District Governor Staab addressed the club and shared information about the Rotary theme for the year; "Rotary Opens Doors." Governor Staab noted when the new Rotary International President gave his speach to introduce the theme for the year, he noted that we are blessed to lead this organization at this time.

Governor Staab shared information on money the District provided to district organization totaling $25,000 to fund local COVID relief activities. Governor Staab noted most funds were directed toward food relief.

Governor Staab recommended the Lincolnshire club do what it needs to do to make sure all members stay engaged. He encouraged club members to reach out to those that have not been engaged to keep involved.  Governor Staab noted this is not a bad time for all clubs to work toward growing new members.

Governor Staab suggested one benefit of remote meetings may be for the club to consider inviting former exchange club members to participate in a meeting or record a video to play at a meeting. President Nerad noted this is a good idea and suggested reaching out to Danny Spungeon to see about former exchange student meeting participation.

Governor Staab offered several other ideas for the club to consider for future speakers including Mary Berg who can speak on the topic of mental health.

Governor Staab encouraged the club to find ways to attract new members by sharing information on Rotary's diversity and inclusion.

Governor Staab shared that supporting the environment is to be a new area of focus for Rotary moving forward. Governor Staab noted it took more than 30 years to get environmental concerns added to the area of focus. He noted potential Rotary members want to know the organization is committed to the environment.

Governor Staab shared information on the pilot initiative with the Chicago Rotary District to develop a business to business director. He noted the entire initiative is to affirm members have the potential to help each other.

Governor Staab noted Rotary's partnership with Tostmasters International.

Governor Staab noted he is encouraging all clubs to do something for World Polio Day.

Governor Staab closed his presentation by encouraging members to take AIM:

A - Adapt: Be flexible to make a difference
