Lisa Wilkerson shared her own personal experiences with racism, and discrimination.  Her presentation included personal insights into the current cultural shifts, Black Lives Matter, and suggested what all of us can do to support a unified community.

Lisa was born and raised in New Orleans, where she graduated pharmacy school at Xavier University of Louisiana, before moving here to Chicago nearly 30 yrs ago.  After working for a few years as a traditional pharmacist, Lisa transitioned her career to the pharmaceutical industry where she has worked in a variety of roles for more than 25 yrs.  During that time, she took the opportunity to attend Loyola University to earn an MBA and an Masters Degree in Marketing and to start a family.  She is the proud parent of two children, a rising college sophomore and a rising college freshman.  Her community involvement during her years living in Lake County has included volunteering for multiple agency and serving as a Board of Director member for non-profit organizations that focus on education and health.
