Club Business: Janice Kellman called the meeting to order.

Stan Roelker shared the Treasurer's Report with the membership. Stan Roelker noted the key thing on the report is that dues have not been increased since 2012. Raising dues may be something for the club to consider. The gap in club dues has historically been made up in past by the club's corn sales efforts. Stan noted he recently had to make a partial payment to the district and current dues structure was not adequate to cover costs. Alan Nerad inquired about the per person district and international dues for each club member.

A discussion membership dues and new member $75 initiation fee followed. Alan Nerad noted there is supposed to be an initial $75 fee for new members when onboarding. The new member fee covers costs of registering the new member, ordering nametags, pins, and other new member items. Alan noted the fee may not be in the bylaws but may be in protocols for onboarding new members.

Janice Kellman inquired when was the last time bylaws were visited. Alan Nerad noted it has been many years since the bylaws were visited.

Bill Urbon shared that the fee to join the club upfront may be a barrier to membership. He suggested such fee should be built into the club's membership dues structure. A further discussion of dues structure and new member fee followed.

Brad Burke moved to eliminate $75 initiation fee. It was the unanimous agreement among all members in attendance to include new member fee in the club membership dues structure.

Alan Nerad provided a historical perspective on club dues structure related to operating costs and charitable fund costs. A discussion of dues structure and covering the cost of breakfasts followed.

Janice summarized discussion. She noted there is agreement to eliminate new member fee. She noted members are in agreement to raise the dues structure from $75 to $100 per quarter to address cash flow and district and international organization dues. Janice Kellman noted there will be a  2-tiered structure $100 and $225 per quarter for individuals who order a meal. President Kellman noted the initiation fee is eliminated. and noted Village of LIncolnshire, Vernon Area Library, Riverside Foundation are all assessed corporate rate which is the $225 per quarter rate for memberhsip.
