Announcement: Alan Nerad noted Rotary Youth Club (RYC) has not met yet this semester.  Alan noted RYC is planning trivia night for March 6, 2020.

Alan Nerad received feedback from Buffalo Grove Rotary Club. He noted the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club indicated selling corn at Buffalo Grove Days too intense to take on this event at this time.

Alan Nerad noted he is still working to collect a list of folks to participate in the 5K race planning. Alan Nerad noted a 5K Race meeting is scheduled for January 29, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Brad Burke reviewed information pertaining to the Lincolnshire Rotary Charitable Fund.  Brad shared the current status of the fund as well as historical giving of the fund.  Brad Burke noted there is currently $5,300 in the fund for the current year.

Alan Nerad noted it is important that the club to treat the race as the main fundraiser.

A discussion of possible charities to make donations to followed.  Brad reviewed regular charities receiving club donations including: Boy Scouts of America, Educate the Children, and Vernon Township Food Pantry. Brad Burke noted a couple years ago the club made a decision to focus its charitable efforts on the Vernon Township Food Pantry. Alan Nerad suggested a possible Food Packing Day for the group.

Janice Kellman expressed her opinion the club should be strategic in setting aside funds for speakers.

Members of the club agreed to continue contributions toward those activities the club has regularly given donations to such as Buffalo Grove Club Duck Sales and Deerfield College Basketball fund raiser.
