BULLETIN – March 27, 2024

Rich Babjak opened our evening meeting at Mickey Finn’s. We had no flag so there was no Pledge. Greeter Rob Likus led us in prayer, and there was no song.

 

-Tucker Olson bragged that his daughter Gerry had major surgery that went well.

 

-We are back to a morning meeting next week.

-The District Conference is April 20^th at Rotary Internation Headquarters in Evanston.

-Our first highway cleanup is either April 13^th or April 20^th depending on the weather. Meet at Sunset Foods at 7 am. 

-Howard Jaffe told us that there are no final numbers on the fundraiser yet. The April 17^th meeting will be a thank you to sponsors.

 

Yours truly gave a scintillating quiz on the Masters golf tournament.

 

Today’s program was a spotlight on member Rob Likus. Rob was born and raised in Libertyville. He was Captain of the golf team, and his game has gone downhill since. He graduated from the U of I with a degree in finance. His claim to fame was serving as Social Chair of Delta Upsilon fraternity! After college he lived in Chicago and later moved to Lincoln Park where he met his wife, Meg. They moved to Libertyville and have 3 boys: 2, 5, and 8. Rob got into Rotary to become involved in the community. 

Meg is a realtor and Rob is a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch. He focuses on retirement planning and his mission is to provide “peace of mind” for his clients. We will witness the largest transfer of wealth in history in the coming years. We should all plan for the future. No bitcoin or Reddit stock. He offers a free consultation for every new prospective client. The stock market is at an all-time high. AI stocks will do well.

 

There was no Raffle because the Sergeant at Arms came late.
