PROGRAM:
Today’s program was the Mother’s Trust Foundation with Executive Director Paula Turelli. Mother’s Trust was founded 22 years ago by Barbara Monsor at age 75. She is a retired social worker working with children. MT provides for basic needs like clothing, utilities and field trips for kids. Help is generally small dollar items. They are “small but mighty”. They have adjusted to new needs in 2020.

Every Wednesday at 9:30 am they meet to consider weekly requests for help. Last week they had 13 requests for clothing, 7 for car seats, 6 for eye glasses, 4 for utility bills, 4 for beds and 2 for summer camp. They hope that summer camps will be open this year.

They partner with agencies, Townships, and Schools. They have received funding from the United Way. They partnered with Zengler Cleaners on a pop up prom dress shop. They hope to do that again in 2022. They also partner with CLC to promote college. Their operating budget is: $650k with $420k for programming.
