The September 2 Wednesday meeting will be our Charitable Givings Breakfast. There will

be 12 different charitable organizations accepting that day. It is a wonderful meeting and

you can hear how our work is helping them achieve making our community better. Please

come.

Save the Date of October 24 for the LSR Polio walk. More to follow.

Howard Jaffe has and will be sending out a list of “Invites” the Club has received from

various Charities to attend their events.

FUN & FROLICS: Kim Smith volunteered to fill in today and brought a special guest,

Trevor Wiedner, a fitness trainer at Centre Club. Trevor surprised the group by leading

everyone through helpful stretching exercises, both seated and standing. As members

loosened up, you could practically hear their muscles being reinvigorated. Thank you,

Trevor.

PROGRAM: Ms. Michele Pyster of Jada’s Journey was today’s speaker. After losing her

daughter to fentanyl poisoning, she turned that tragedy into a mission to warn and support

others in Lake County. Jada’s Journey provides guidance and support to families facing

mental health and substance abuse challenges. The organization will hold a 5K

FunRun/Walk fundraiser on October 4 in Vernon Hills. Registration is $35.00. Learn more about

its mission at jadas-journey.org. Jada’s Journey is a 501(c)(3) organization.

RAFFLE: The daily raffle had $32 in the pot won by Tucker Olson. I am sure he was going

to use the money for a nice dinner with his bride of 48 years. The Progressive now has $90

with 52 cards remaining in the deck. Bill Rickert’s raffle ticket was called but he drew the

six of diamonds. ROLLOVER.

NEXT WEEK: Greeter & Prayer is Michael Schachner.

Fun & Frolics & Bingo: Steve Risley is the Fun N FROLICS person this week             due to a “Wheeled Offense”. One could speculate music may be featured.

REMINDER: One can always look up your responsibilities on our web site when it comes to

assigned Greeting and Frolics.
