BRAGS:
-Elliot Pinsel’s youngest boy turned 21. “Bacon Boy’ celebrated in Las Vegas.
FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS AND ROTARY ANNIVERSARIES:
-Ellen Young’s birthday is February 14th.
-Anniversaries: Tim Dempsey – 33 years, Elliot Pinsel and Diane Servos – 12 years, Kim Smith – 2 years, Pete Govorchin – 1 year.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-Fundraiser: Spread the word. We have sold about 320 tickets. Promote 50/50 raffle. Posters are available.
-Lake County Symphony concert on 2/14 at 4 pm. Tickets are $30 at the Lumber Center at CLC.
WHEEL:
-Elliot Pinsel missed Sergeant at Arms duty. Did the moon walk.
FUN & FROLICS:
Glenn Garlick gave us a quiz on Club trivia.
PROGRAM:
Today’s program featured Carrie Tennyson from Lamb’s Farm. Lamb’s is a farm gifted in 1961 to house adults with intellectual disabilities. The farm houses 200 animals and has six campuses. They have 260 participants in group homes on the property and other locations throughout the community. They have six retail businesses on the 70-acre campus. They conduct job training for their constituents.
They have been planning a revitalization of the Farm for 12 years. They want to be open year around and to triple the number of visitors. They want to provide education for the public as well as participants. They will open a new greenhouse in the spring and will grow vegetables in an expanded garden. Phase 1 will include a new barn to house the animals and allow visitors to adopt an animal. Lamb’s Industries does piece work providing jobs for the participants. They have an art studio and a center for performing arts. There is a 10-year waiting list for new participants.

- Daily: $21 won by Kim Smith.
-Progressive: $387 (40 cards). Ron Lapins drew for Elliot Pinsel the 8 of spades. ROLLOVER!
