Sunrise Rotary Bulletin – March 3, 2020

Call to Order: Club President Greg Hill called the meeting to order, Elliot Pinsel led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Dave Potts gave the prayer. There was no song for lack of our song leader.
Guests: No guests.
Brags:
-John Robb’s bragged about his daughter in the Nashville area.
-Ron Lapins said he is now 17 years in business, with the same partner.
-Seb Karasu was in Arizona and climbed Camel Mountain. Great view.
-Tom Zengeler’s daughter had her white coat ceremony at the University of Virginia. Neuroscience.
Announcements/Program:
Greg Hill and others. Topic: Winter Fundraiser.
-Need tickets turned in. We’re behind in numbers. Need 150 more. Drive sales this week.
-We need name, email, mobile cell phone numbers for all attendees.
-Auction items needed. Only 60 items to date.
-Need every member to donate 2 bottles of wine the instant wine cellar ($20-$30 range, white or red).
-Also looking for table wine for the wine pull.
-Now using One Cause online bidding (used to be Bid Pal). You can have a proxy for bidding.
-1/3 of the club members cannot make the event. Members and guests can bid from a distant location.
-The event begins at 6:00pm, March 13, 2020, at Independence Grove Forest Preserve. 6:00-7:30 drinks and hors oeuvres, 7:30 announcements, 7:40 dinner, 8:45-9:40 auction. Raffle to follow.
-Theme is St. Patrick’s. Wear green or leprechaun outfit.

Robin O’Conner did a nice quiz on voting in Lake County.
