Greg Hill opened the zoom meeting. Tucker led us in the pledge followed by a prayer by Pat Hart. Dennis encouraged us all with a smashing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

Brags:
John McDonald’s grandson passed the first exam of the CPA process.
Ron Lapins is a proud new grandfather.
Dennis - bragged in honor of Rick Mittelman shooting par in golf.
Tucker - bragged that Greg Hill led his last board meeting.
Greg Hill is celebrating his 29th wedding anniversary.
Announcements:
The annual installment golf outing will be held on June 24th. Please refer to the emails sent out by Doug for additional info. Please let Doug know if you intend on participating.
Pat Hart is looking for volunteers for the upcoming highway cleanup. The proposed date is June 27th.
The club has donated $5230 this quarter to Lamb’s Farm and two local food pantries.
Fun and Frolics:
Sheb Karasu led us in a trivia challenge.
Program:
Today’s program featured Theresa and Julie from Misericordia. Misericordia’s mission is to support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a full spectrum of care including residence, training, and employment services.
Located in Chicago, Misericordia currently supports over 600 members in its community and has approximately 400 additional members waiting for placement. The organization provides employment opportunities for the members of its community both on-site, within the local community through partnerships with employers such as Jewel, Trader Joe’s, and Panera and through its bakery, which now has a location in Glenview.
The 31-acre campus in Chicago is home to multiple residence facilities, specialty care units, recreational buildings, a horticultural area, a dental clinic, and a salon. In addition, there are 13 residences in the surrounding community where up to 7 adults can live. The organization recently purchased additional acreage across the street from its existing campus and will be expanding its facilities to accommodate approximately 100 additional members.
