BULLETIN – January 29, 2025

President Robb called the meeting to order, Jim Laverdiere led us in prayer, and Bill Taranowski gave the Pledge. There was no song!

 

-We have sold 270 tickets, 400 to go! Reach out to friends and contacts to introduce them to the Fundraiser. The Aldridge Foundation has renewed their sponsorship and increased the level. Mickey Finn’s is doing a weekly blast to their followers, and we are doing extended reach outs. Sell raffle tickets. We are lagging behind last year. The new payment system makes it more difficult to buy tickets. We have 36 silent auction items. Our goal is 110 items. Posters are available. The consignment group we work with has 2 posters (Taylor Swift and Jimmy Buffett). Micky Finn’s chef is offering a special 4 course dinner the night of the event. Let Howard know if you have a block of attendees so he can arrange seating together. Home stretch!

 

There were no brags.

 

-President Robb told us of the passing of Past District Governor Susan Gibson.

-The second and fourth Wednesdays require the Fun & Frolics person to call bingo at Liberty Tower in Libertyville. Arrive a few minutes before 6 pm. Carol August is in charge of bingo. Please let her know if you need a sub.

-The February 12^th meeting will be a Club Assembly. Chairs will report on their areas and invite comments.

 

Doug Fendon, from a remote location, conducted a number quiz that only a few had worked on prior to the meeting.

 

-Daily: $21 won by Steve Risley. 

-Progressive: $366 (41 cards). Jim Curtis drew the 3 of hearts. ROLLOVER!

 

-Greeter & Prayer: Ron Lapins.

-Fun & Frolics: Glenn Garlick.

-Program: Carrie Tennyson from Lamb’s Farm.
