PROGRAM:
Zoom issues were finally solved when the laptop was pointed at the speaker. Next week should be better. Our speaker was Dr. Ryan Glynn a chiropractor from Libertyville. Ryan has multiple degrees and specializes in sports medicine and functional neurology. He wants to enhance quality of life for people with injuries, MS and Parkinson’s.
The eyes are the windows to the brain. If you are having a bad day your eyes may have been overstimulated the day before. He helps people have a good day every day. He helped one swimmer improve his time by 4 seconds by improving his arm placement in the water. For golfers, he places a laser on the patients head. The eyes compensate for incorrect movements by connecting to 2 parts of the brain. Our world is based on what we see. He teaches eye movement independent of the head movement. People with traumatic brain injuries are automatically depressed because their eyes aren’t working properly.
Muscles have a big influence on the brain. The #3 cause of deaths in the U.S. is falls.
If you have nerve damage, work on the sensory system. Change reality to correct issues. He gave us 4 daily exercises: 1. Trace something with your finger. 2. Focusing on an object move your head yes, yes, no, no 120 times per minute. 3. Move an object and head
in sync. 4. Do gross movements with your arms in a figure 8.
RAFFLE:
Daily: $21 - won by Dennis Kratohwil.
Progressive: $870 (21 cards). Dennis also won the draw but failed to find the ace.
