President Eliot Pinsel opened our meeting with a pledge and a prayer, but with our songmeister  having departed to rest his weary bones in a warmer climate until spring, we did not sing this morning.

 

David Potts bragged about his trip to Asheville, North Carolina, a lovely spot to visit this time of year.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Bill Taranowski is celebrating his tenth anniversary in the club.

 

Eliot Pinsel will bring a bus to our November 30 meeting to pick up the ornaments donated to his holiday gift event.

Jeff Harger is collecting donations for holiday meals distributed by the food pantry.

 

Tony Collins has requested an extended leave from the club.

 

Diana Servos could  use a couple more volunteers for the late shift on our December 3 Salvation Army bell ringing.

 

Steve Risley mentioned that while the next fund raiser is still a number of weeks away, it would be helpful if people identify the auction items they will be contributing early.

 

Eliot Pinsel conducted fun & frolics this week, and this time he tested our knowledge of movie quotes, taking us back to memorable scenes from The Godfather and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

 

This week Steve Risley won the $23.00 regular raffle, while Tom Zengeler tried to draw the ace of spades our of fifteen cards to win the $1,082.00 progressive pot.  Sadly though, Mr. Zengeler only pulled the three of spades.
