President Gore rang the bell, Scott Hezner gave the Pledge, Greeter Rich Babjak led us in prayer, and Dennis Kratohwil helped us through “Get by with a little help from my friends”.
PROGRAM:
Since this was a special meeting to recognize our sponsors, there were no brags, fun & frolics, or raffle. Howard Jaffe, Fundraiser Chairman gave us a synopsis of our recent fundraiser. This year, we are celebrating the 121st year of Rotary. Next year will be the 40th anniversary of our Club. The Second City events have raised $725,000 with a net of $550,000 going to local charities serving diverse causes in the community, student scholarships, Rotary International, and Shelter Box. The Second City events provide a downtown like experience, right here in Libertyville.
