Today was substitute day. After checking in with stand in Sergeant at Arms Tucker Olson, immediate past President Jeff Harger called the meeting to order. Ken Chapin gave the prayer and in possible anticipation of a successful Festival on Saturday, songmeister Steve Kershner led us in the song:" Happy days are here again!" Wasting no time, Tucker wheeled Jon Robb for failing to sign in.

BRAGS:

Ron Lapis just returned from a vacation on St. John where he stayed an extra 4 days and received his scuba certification.

Scott Hezner bragged about his 15 foot tall sunflower. Is sunflower code for something else?

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Steve Risley reminded us that Sunday morning is "Willow House walk to remember" and they need volunteers to set up and clean up. Could be a good way to work off a hangover from too much wine at the festival! Contact Steve.

NEW MEMBER INDUCTION:

The club welcomed new member Tom Dovow. Tom bought Bob Stemper's wine and spirit store. Tom had a mid life crisis after a career in marketing. Not sure why Bob had the bigger smile on his face!

FUN & FROLICS:

Larry Neal regaled us with a matching quiz. Match the fundraiser with the cause. He then challenged us to raise $500 for the ALS Challenge.Larry's daughter Hannah did the honors of dumping the bucket of ice water on her Dad. We donated a total of $639 to ALS research!

Please drop sold and unsold tickets at the Wine and Spirit Warehouse by Friday. Set up is at 9:00am on Saturday.
