Welcome Operation Warm

 

 

 

 

Join us Friday as we welcome Rich Lalley, Executive Director of Operation Warm and Denise Rasbid to our meeting. They will speak on their efforts nationally and specifically within the Lake Zurich area.

 

Denise leads the local team which has given new Operation Warm coats to nearly 4,000 children living in need in Lake and Northern Cook County.

 

Dick Sanford started in 1998 with the help of the local Longwood Rotary Club to distribute 58 coats. Since then, Operation Warm has partnered with other Rotary clubs to assist in its distribution efforts. Today, over 230 clubs have provided 160,000+ children with winter coats.

 

Mr. Sanford started Operation Warm, with the belief that children born in poverty have less than a fair chance to thrive.  They greatly appreciate organizations which supply “gently worn” garments.
