Join us Friday September 23 where our guest speaker will be Mr. Louis W. Kosiba, Executive Director of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). His presentation, "Understanding IMRF" will discuss the status of pensions in the state of Illinois.

Louis W. Kosiba has been with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) since 1988, and has served as executive director since 2001. Prior to his appointment as executive director, Kosiba was IMRF general counsel from 1990 to 2001. Kosiba has a juris doctor degree and a master’s in business administration from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Kosiba helped found the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys, and is an active member of the National Association of State Retirement Administrators. Mr. Kosiba oversees a staff of 180 and reports directly to the eight-member IMRF board of trustees.
