Tour the beautiful Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington, prior to a Concert featuring Soprano, Tetyana Torzhevska, Lyudmila Yasinetskaya (piano) and Larisa Kozlova (cello) with all proceeds donated to Rotary International's End Polio Now campaign.
The program includes masterpieces of classical music by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Chopin. Ms Torzhevska was a permanent soloist of the Kiev (Ukraine) State Opera and the National Song and Dance Ensemble of Ukrainian Army. She performed across Europe prior to moving to the USA in 2004 where she performs and teaches music and is a member of the Rotary Club of Huntley.
Docents will assist in touring the private collections of music machines and guests will hear the worlds largest pipe organ plus visit the Carousel pavilion. Tickets $50 at www.SanfilippoFoundation.org.

The Fourth annual Rotary Carnival will be hosted on Memorial Day weekend at the parking area of Walmart on Route 47 in Huntley by the Rotary Clubs of Huntley and Lake in the Hills. Wristbands will be sold during day and evening hours plus rides, games, and food will be available for all ages. This is a family-friendly event. We will be collecting food for the Grafton Food Pantry at this event. |

Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around the clock care as clients progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. Karen Schultz is the presenter. |
