Chad Clark and Mari Buttweiler,of the Highland Park Public Library shared a presentation entitled, "This is not your Grandfather’s Library". They shared information about the wide variety of programs and services available to Highland Park residents, and also highlighted several areas of the strategic plan that is guiding the library’s efforts going forward, including the planned remodeling and physical space update. They emphasized that the library staff can assist library patrons with sorting through myriad of source material to get to sources that can be trusted. The library’s function as a place that brings community together and serves as a center for social interaction, and not just search for books, was also stressed. Thanks to Paul Munk for his notes! |
