The guest speaker was Steve Sarowitz, founder and Chairman of Paylocity, a leading U.S. provider of payroll and HR solutions. Paylocity went public in 2014 and now has 3,500 employees and a market value of $3.5 billion. Steve also serves as CEO of Blue Marble, an international payroll provider and as Director of Payescape, a UK payroll provider. Well known as an international philanthropist, he and his wife have a family foundation (the “Julian Grace Foundation”) which supports over fifty worthy causes worldwide, including programs helping orphans, foster children, refugees and many other people in need. He also serves on the board of NCAT, an organization that builds state-of-the art training centers in urban areas. He is particularly interested in women’s rights. A resident of Highland Park with his wife and two children, Steve was raised Jewish but became a Baha’i in 2013. He has just completed a documentary called “The Gate” about the Baha'i faith which will be shown at the Wilmette theatre on July 9. When he is not working or doing philanthropy, you can often find him guiding at the Baha’i Temple in Wilmette.
