Tee Off for Peace, Understanding and Leadership

Did you know our 17^th Annual Golf Outing is really as old as our Club? In the summer of 1928, the first year of its existence, the Club had its first golf outing. It was so successful they held it again two days later! Of course, there is no indication that the first year was anything other than purely a social gathering.

 

Fast forward eighty-nine years and we have stayed true to Paul Harris’ vision of what Rotary can do for our local and global community. With our commitment to youth programs like RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), TABU, (Towards A Better Understanding) which is a student  exchange program with the Belfast Rotary Club exclusive to this Club, the Interact Service Club at HPHS and our scholarship program. We also stay focused on the needs of the less fortunate in our locale.

 

Steeped in tradition, we have combined the socialibilty of our forefathers and the sense of “Service Above Self” to establish the Annual Golf Outing.

 

Join us Friday 4^th at the Highland Park Country Club as we tee off promoting Peace, Understanding and Leadership. Registration is 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and then a shotgun start at 12:30.
