On April 8th, we'll gather to celebrate our club's 90th birthday, and what better way than raise money for our Charities, Scholarships and Youth Programs?

Because we are celebrating, we've sent out invitations to important folks in the area including past speakers. Because we have helped the community, we reached out to others in the community to be a part of the celebration and join us in our commitment to investing in others in need and our future - our youth and families.

As we look back to what as a nation we come through (floods, the birth of the talkies, Charles Lindbergh, Prohibition, and that's just 1927) and as a club, we also look forward. We begin our tenth decade continuing to serve. Continuing to grow. All of this is not without effort and some pain. Nothing worthwhile is. I've accused myself of having a Pollyanna Existence - my invisible rose colored glasses (my super power), and you can see, I still wear them proudly.

So here comes the Gatsby (90th birthday) challenges:

-- Those who make only a meeting a year, I challenge you come more often. Make that commitment to come at least once a month. Clear a couple hours in your schedule one Monday a month.

-- Read the bulletin. Know what's going on.

-- Check out the website once in awhile. Check out the Facebook Page. Like our Facebook Page.

-- Get involved. Don't make the excuse you work full time. We all do! A few hours here or there will help a great deal.

Life has a way of showing us that we are needed. We hear and see it every week from our speakers. It's Life's way of telling us there is so much more work to accomplish.
