Time to Pick This Year's Focus Charity

As a club, we need to select a charity as a focus for our fundraising for this year. Last year, we supported the Avon Township Food Pantry in addition to our standing commitments, the high school scholarships and PolioPlus.
Anyone who has a suggestion or recommendation for a charity deserving our focused support this year should make a case for that cause at one of the next couple of meetings. We need to select our causes so we can identify them and publicize them in our future fundraising efforts and promotion. We already have proposals to support the Oasis Youth Center in downtown Grayslake, and we have a speaker coming in early September to discuss Grayslake Park District needs. Any other ideas or suggestions, PLEASE let us all know!
