The new, expanded District Grant program has a number of key features:

District Grants now can be for either domestic or international projects.

District Grants can be in larger amounts than before, with the District providing up to $3,750 in matching dollars (the bigger the grant, the more details are needed on the application and the matching dollars by D6440 get smaller, but you can qualify for more matching dollars than before).

Clubs can put in a primary application and they can also submit a second application which will be reviewed if matching funds are not exhausted.

All District Grant applications will be taken online. Simply go to www.rotary6440.org , login, and click on the District Grant button to get to the application.

The Club President will authorize people to submit applications. If you’re not authorized, your application won’t count, so get authorized.  Note:   Rotarians who attended a Grant Management Seminar are already authorized.

Two really important things to remember:

    1)      The deadline for District Grant applications is September 1 .  Submissions after that date cannot be considered.

    2)      If your club did not submit its Memo of Understanding (MOU in Rotary speak) as required by The Rotary Foundation, you won’t be able to receive a District Grant.   (If you have questions about your Club’s MOU, contact District Administrative Assistant, Kristina Laib, at admin@rotary6440.org).

If you visit the District website (www.rotary6440.org) and click on the Foundation tab, then the Grants Committee page, you will be able to download the District’s grant policies, a quick reference guide, and a FAQs document of frequently asked questions about District Grants.

Contact our District Grants team with any questions by email at distgrants@rotary6440.org .
