Grayslake Rotary Member is New Fire Chief

John Christian, Grayslake Rotary Club member, has succeeded Don Mobley, also a Grayslake Rotary Club member, as the new chief of the Grayslake Fire Protection District.
Effective February 12, John Christian is the new Fire Chief for Grayslake. Don Mobley retired from the position in December 2008 and is now the Fire Program Specialist for the Chicago-based FEMA.
Born and raised in Grayslake, John has served in the Illinois National Guard, the Grayslake Fire Department (as a firefighter and captain/shift commander), and most recently as the deputy fire chief for the Beach Park Fire Protection District.
John is a charter member of the Grayslake Rotary Club, and we are proud that one of our own has been recognized for his outstanding past service and leadership. Join us in congratulating John and wishing him the best with his new responsibilities.
