Meeting of November 2, 2017:
73 people attended our fourth annual Heads Up, Evanston networking luncheon on Nov. 2, which featured updates and news from 26 local organizations. This year a special focus was put on youth, and the meeting included several local students, who gave presentations about their volunteer work in the community. As always, participants did their best to deliver their "commercials" in less than two minutes, and we learned a lot about new programs and services in Evanston.
We also provided information during the meeting on our Volunteer Corps, which now includes more than 70 participants, and details about this year's Rotary Club of Evanston Charitable Fund grants, which will provide a total of $10,000 to benefit organizations with programs related to maternal and child health.
