Empowering Girls Initiative Event at One Rotary Center

The Rotary Club of Evanston, Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club, and Rotary Club of Skokie Valley are hosting a collaborative event on May 20th to help girls in grades 3-8 learn about saving, spending, and earning and about their power to control their own lives, both within and in their community to influence the direction of social change to create a more just social and economic order. Sol has an impressive and extensive background in community service in the Chicago area and elsewhere. 
ECF started by Sara Schostock 2000-01 
Covid (2020) raised $5 mil response and allowed Evanston to feed and shelter residents. 
Motto is ”Not just survive, but to thrive” 
Stressed importance of 529 partnership to foster college enrollment and graduation. 
ECF connects people to and supports the non-profit partners to provide assistance. 
There are many links between ECF and RCE 
The Website for Volunteer Evanston is being restored. 
ECF needs “Time, Talent and Treasure” not just money.

Campus Kitchens is on again!

Through Saturday, 3 June, at 10:30 am, we can pick up food at 1835 Hinman, and deliver it to the community refrigerators throughout Evanston. Takes about an hour

C&W Market Foundation Grocery Delivery – Date Change

We have changed our delivery of food to the senior citizens living in the Noyes apartment buildings from Wednesday evenings to Saturday mornings.  Please consider signing up for one or more opportunities to serve our community!
