Program: Robin Sue Simmons is 5th Ward Alderman and will be speaking on behalf of Dan
Biss
Alderman Simmons spoke eloquently about her support for Senator Biss in his effort to become the Democratic Candidate for Governor. She said that the Senator is a resident of Evanston. He is the only candidate with legislative experience and a voting record among all the candidates. Senator Biss is a progressive and has spoken to this club before on his plans to resolve the Pension and Budget problems that plague this state.
She also spoke about developments in the 5th Ward including making funds available to help local businesses and the construction of a Metropolitan Water Reclamation District pumping station that will include funds to put a “Splash Park” in a park adjacent to the station.
