Program: Rotarian Choice--No Regular Lunch Meeting

Meeting of July 8, 2021

Pam Rosenbusch offered some inspiration:
“Every moment is a fresh beginning.” -- T. S. Elliott
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” -- Confucius
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” -- Mohammad Gandhi
“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” -- George Elliott

Stephanie Murray led the meeting for her first time as club president.
We discussed club goals and the recent survey.
The survey indicated that members still appreciate the club for programming and fellowship. The pandemic didn't discourage Rotary membership, but miss meeting in person.
Half of those who replied to the survey indicated that they felt like they know fellow club members well.
Replies indicated that members would like a specific emailed invitation to special events.
Many of us are looking forward to more service projects...and Stephanie indicated they'd be coming.
Stephanie mentioned looking for a new global project for the club to support.
We brainstormed on fundraising ideas.
Stephanie thanked Tracy for her work as president during her year leading Zoom meeting.
It was noted that area clubs included many women in the highest leadership roles:
Our club's president is Stephanie Murray.
The Evanston morning club's president is Linda Gerber and the president-elect is Kathy Tate Bradish.
The Evanston evening club's president is Julie Aubry.
The Skokie Valley club's president is Diane Krier-Morrow.
Orchids and Onions:
Orchid: Jane Lawicki's garage remodel is going to include a loft space (which may or may not be called a she shed.)
Orchid: Tracy Tebear celebrated a "special" birthday with family.
Onion: Paolo Giordano is in the hospital.
...and others that this scribe was not fast enough to write down.
