Thank you to everyone that came out to participate or volunteer for our first ever stair climb! Collectively participants climbed over 30,000 steps to end hunger!  Barb Huffman’s son Landis took home the trophy with 7 trips up the stairs!

Club Strategic Plan Discussion Planned for February 26 !!

Please note – due to scheduling conflicts, the speaker from Friends of the Forest Preserves is unable to present as planned.

Instead, we’ll use the opportunity to continue the conversation on the Club’s Strategic Plan.  Strategic planning is how the club determined its current signature focus on Food Security, and provides the overall direction for the club for everything we do – service projects, club meetings, fundraising efforts, everything!

To inform our discussion, you are encouraged to complete the survey at this link: https://forms.gle/1vKgYuDDtMMQe4nH8.  For those who’ve completed club surveys over the past several years, you’ll see familiar questions related to your experience with our club.  You’ll also see some questions directed specifically towards the current iteration of our Strategic Plan.

You will receive (if you haven’t already) a related email shortly with the same survey link as well as a copy of the current 2023-2026 plan to reference.  The survey is open now through Wednesday February 18 and should only take you 10-15 minutes to complete.

We’ll review key findings of the survey at the club meeting on February 26 as part of our conversation.  This is an ongoing dialogue, and your input is vital to making sure the club is providing you the opportunities you’re seeking for engagement and impact in the community!  Please come ready to share your thoughts!
