Local Leaders Turn Out To Promote Peace

A variety of individuals and organizations turned out on Sunday, September 25 to promote and celebrate peace during the Rotary Club of Evanston's 2016 PeaceFest. The event, held at the International Friendship Garden on McCormick Blvd., included speakers, music, arts and crafts, peace discussion-groups, yoga demonstrations and much more. Among the speakers were award-winning journalist Maudlyne Ihejirika, left, and her mother, Angelina.
