Our speaker May 21 was Mark Trapp, Attorney and Author of “A Destiny of Undying Greatness: Kiffin Rockwell and the Boys Who Remembered Lafayette." Our program, in honor of Memorial Day, was a tribute to the patriotism of Kiffin Rockwell and several other Americans -- Kiffin’s brother Paul, Alan Seeger, and Norman Prince -- who volunteered to fight for France before the United States joined World War I. These young men all came from middle class or very wealthy families, and remembering that Lafayette had come to help the United States during the American Revolution, felt they owed something to France. Their stories of heroism and idealism were uplifting as we prepared to celebrate Memorial Day in the United States.  To learn more about the book, visit https://undyinggreatness.com/extras
