About the Four Way Test

Rotary's Four Way Test is a series of questions that can be applied to personal and professional relationships to ensure sound decision-making. The test, which can be applied to almost any aspect of life, is composed of four basic questions that can be asked in any situation in which a decision must be made:

Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Since its adoption by Rotary in the 1940s, the test has been promoted around the world and is used in many settings to encourage personal and business ethical practices.
