The Rotary Club of Evanston is network of local business, community and thought leaders who share the ideals of service, integrity, diversity, leadership and friendship. The club has been a gathering place and catalyst for change for over 100 years. Club News
The William H. Logan Jr. Legacy of Service Award recognizes a pioneer in the community who has made significant contributions to Evanston through their time, action, talents and dedication. Honorees are seen as a role model of civic engagement who have established a history of distinguished service. 
 
Dick Peach has been a proud member of the Rotary Club of Evanston for over two decades.   Few people civically engaged in Evanston don’t know, or know of, Dick.  Prior to his retirement, and move to Minnesota with his wife, Shelley, Dick worked tirelessly to help make Evanston the vibrant community it is. 
September 11-17 marks Celebrate Community Week, an annual joint initiative from the organizations Kiwanis International, Lions International, Optimist International and Rotary International. Together our collective organizations can make a greater impact in our community when we come together for a common goal.
 
The Rotary Clubs of Evanston and other service based organizations in town will be hosting a garden clean up. Please let us know if you can join us via the link below. All that is needed to participate is a pair of gardening gloves, we will provide the rest! All are welcome!

Rotary Magazine, in partnership with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, presents an evening with Ivo Daalder, president of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and John Hewko, CEO of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Former radio host and award-winning journalist Steve Edwards will moderate.  
 
When: Monday, May 1, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (short reception to precede discussion) 
 
Where: Auditorium, One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201 (Parking is available)
 
Our speakers will discuss the current situation in Ukraine, the war’s long-term impact on global security and prosperity, the implications of the reported military leaks, strategies for peace, and the role of nongovernmental organizations in humanitarian relief and postwar reconstruction. 
 
On Saturday, May 6th, join fellow Rotary members, family, friends and our partners at Gillson Park from 10:00am - noon, to raise awareness and funds for those who are housing insecure. 
 
Proceeds from the event will be distributed to each participating Rotary club to support local organizations that provide services to people experiencing homelessness.
 
Participants can sign-up to walk or run on the website, wilmetterotary.org  by clicking the red button. Registration fee is $25 for students, $50 for adults and $100 for families. 
 
Rotary Club of Evanston members Gene Servillo, and spouse Rosie; Paul Giordano, and spouse Rosa; and Michele Berg, and spouse John, were all recently recognized by RI President Jennifer Jones as Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation. 
 
Congratulations and thank you for your generous support of our Foundation and for your commitment to ‘doing good in the world’! 
Thanks for celebrating International Women’s Day 2023! Our virtual, multi-day raised awareness about the barriers that women around the world face as professional and local leaders and to build a supportive community to take collective action for change. The events, presented in English, were open to Rotary members and nonmembers of all genders.  
Rotary International celebrated 118 years on Thursday, February 23rd.  To mark the occasion, we hosted a birthday party during our regular club meeting, complete with classic party games like Rotary Jeopardy and Pin the "Pin" on Paul Harris!  One of the activities hosted was a service project to pack 118 birthday kits for Hillside Pantry and the Evanston Community Fridges.  Thanks to all who participated!
