Dundee Township Rotary Builds Jelke Creek Shelter
Posted by Sanford Morganstein
Club members, friends and relatives participated from August 27 through August 29 in building the shelter at the new Jelke Creek Bird Sanctuary. Click on Photo Journals (lower right) to see more photos.
Building the shelter was a significant Community Service project for our club. We lifted steel, bolted structural members, raised roof materials, screwed in metal self-tapping screws and achieved victory.
We were delighted that friends of the club participated including three members of the Dundee Crown Interact Club (Dan Zozokos, Rogelio Realzola and John Keable). Dan and Rogelio were previous participants in Rotary's Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).
