The next Board Meeting will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 6:30 PM via ZOOM. If you have any items you wish to have discussed at this meeting, please let Phil know by Friday, May 28th.

The Scholarship Committee (Dave, Phil, Sue , Sandi) have reviewed the Cary-Grove High School scholarship applications and have selected the recipients for the Decker and Club Scholarships. The names will be shared with club members once the recipients have been notified.
The Club’s Investment Committee, currently consists of Patrick Finlon, Joe McVicker, Linda Trexler and Ed Connelly. On Wednesday May 5th, Pat, Joe and Linda met with Paul Schifferer, Financial Advisor of Edward Jones. Paul discussed several options for the club's investments. He will send a summary of the meeting to Pat, who will then share with the Club/Board including the Investment Committee's recommendations.
This year's District Conference is scheduled as a Virtual Format event occurring June 1st - June 5th. On each of these days, Rotarians will have the opportunity to join in on Zoom discussions that will be offered by various Clubs throughout the District. In support of local farmers and vendors, The Rotary Club of Cary-Grove will be hosting a Farmers' Market on Sundays during the summer months beginning June 6th and running through September 26th. The event will be held between the hours of 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the North Metra Parking lot, which is located in downtown Cary. The first Market will be held on June 6th.
Cary Farmers Market offers a wide selection of fresh fruits & vegetables, locally produced meats and cheeses, jams, bakery, popcorn, herbs, honey, flowers, plants, knife and blade sharpening and other locally produced goods. When it becomes available in late July through September, the Rotary Club sells the famous "Mirai Sweet Corn.
The Rotary Club of Cary-Grove’s membership is a diverse group of individuals that work together to improve the communities of Cary and Fox River Grove. Because of COVID-19, we are currently conducting our weekly meetings via Zoom. If you are interested in learning more, or in getting involved, contact us about being invited to attend this online format meeting on Thursday morning's beginning at 7:30 am.
District 6440 will be hosting a golf outing on May 15th to benefit its RYLA program participants. The event will be held at Village Links Golf Course in Glen Ellyn. Visit their website for registration and additional information.
Earlier this year, the Village of Cary announced its partnership with The Rotary Club of Cary-Grove in the development of a new park, "Cary Lake at Rotary Park". The Rotary Club is pleased to announce that it has begun soliciting donations for the construction of a picnic shelter that will be located near the main parking area of this facility. The pavilion will provide another feature to the park for the benefit of everyone that visits for many years to come. The estimated cost of this project is $70,000. The club is seeking the support of community members and local business owners in order to bring this to a quick, successful completion. Contributions are being accepted at the Club's Go Fund Me Page: http://gf.me/u/y6kq5f.
Project updates will be posted to our website and FaceBook page as construction at the site progresses.

Rotarian Action Groups are autonomous groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants and alumni who are experts in a particular field, such as micro-credit or water and sanitation. More information about these groups and their purpose can be found on RI's website.
Rotary Fellowships are independent groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants and alumni who share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends from around the world. Again, more detailed information is available at this link to RI's website.
