The Fox River Grove Memorial Library will again be holding events for Elementary age children this year. Listed below are the dates and subject of each event. If interested in volunteering to help out at one of these events, contact Sue.

As the link indicated, the district has partnered with X-Golf and this opportunity will be available at several of their locations. District 6440 has launched the District 6440 PolioPlus Society to support Rotary's promises and recently announced endgame strategy to achieve and sustain a polio-free world by 2026. The district is inviting all members to become a Charter Member.
PolioPlus Society members pledge to donate $100 every Rotary Year to the Rotary Foundation PolioPlus Fund until the world is certified polio-free. To become a Charter Member, make your pledge and date $100 to the PolioPlus Fund by June 30, 2022. Click here to join now.
Over the past several days we have been stunned by the devastation through a large area of the Midwest. While the destruction and human toll is heart wrenching, I am inspired by the impulsive desire of Rotarians to provide support and comfort.
Many members of District 6440 are inquiring how we might best support efforts for recovery in the areas affected by this week's extraordinary weather event. We have communicated with Rotary leadership in effected areas seeking guidance how you as individuals and/or clubs may help provide comfort and support. In that spirit I am writing this email to inform you of several ways that you and your Rotary club can assist the individuals and communities who were impacted by these storms.

Earlier this year, the Village of Cary announced its partnership with The Rotary Club of Cary-Grove in the development of a new park, "Cary Lake at Rotary Park". The Rotary Club is pleased to announce that it has begun soliciting donations for the construction of a picnic shelter that will be located near the main parking area of this facility. The pavilion will provide another feature to the park for the benefit of everyone that visits for many years to come. The estimated cost of this project is $70,000. The club is seeking the support of community members and local business owners in order to bring this to a quick, successful completion. Rotarian Action Groups are autonomous groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants and alumni who are experts in a particular field, such as micro-credit or water and sanitation. More information about these groups and their purpose can be found on RI's website.
Rotary Fellowships are independent groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants and alumni who share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends from around the world. Again, more detailed information is available at this link to RI's website.
