Rotary Club of Carol Stream gears up for the annual coat drive one month early.

This year's wintery weather caused earlier than normal concerns about the cold to the homeless and others less fortunate who cannot afford to
purchase coats to keep warm. Harsh fall/winter  temperatures here in Chicago's western suburbs came early with over 9 inches of snow on the ground prior to the
Thanksgiving holiday.  our Carol Stream Rotary club had discussed collecting gently used coats in NOVEMBER to make sure that we could offer
warmth before the season was in full swing.  We have collected a few carloads already, donating the coats to the PADS  organization in Wheaton.
Thank you to all of those in the community who graciously donated these coats at this time of year.  Have a good Holiday season and best in 2019.
