The Rotary Club of Carol Stream attended the Carol Stream Barks event on Saturday 9-9-2017.  The free event was open to all dog owning (or animal interested) people--residents or out of the area. Dogs of all sizes, families, and people interested in dogs attended the many booths, contests, exhibits, and demonstrations of the day.  Our booth showed off the ideals and goals of Rotary and answered questions about our club.  The  We offered two "cutout" wood cartoon  pieces where owners could get cute pictures of their dogs (or family members) enjoying the sunshine and cool temperatures and comraderie of the day.  We gave out dog treats with the club website information with hopes that we may get a few new interested members.  Our member volunteers also sold raffle tickets for two baskets from donated products and services in the community and the money ($57) from the Raffle was collected for POLIO PLUS.  All in all, we reaffirmed our place in the community here in Carol Stream at a very well attended event.
