The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is pleased to announce applications for our 2026 Service Above Self and Vocational/Public Safety Scholarships are now being accepted. These scholarship opportunities are open to students and graduates of Buffalo Grove, Stevenson, or Wheeling High Schools living in Buffalo Grove.
Service Above Self Scholarship
Scholarship grants in the one-time amount of up to $2,000 each will be awarded to support educational programs preparing students for careers with a four-year degree. Grants require acceptance into a bachelor’s degree college program.
Vocational/Public Safety Scholarship
Scholarship grants in the one-time amount of up to $2,000 each will be awarded to support educational programs preparing students for careers in a vocational/public safety field. This scholarship is for students planning to attend a college, technical training institution, or career-specific training program in a vocation or public safety field (law enforcement, fire science or emergency medical services).
Applicants must be a current student/graduate from Buffalo Grove High School, Adlai E. Stevenson High School or Wheeling High School currently residing in Buffalo Grove.
To be considered, applicants should submit the following:
- One completed and legible application with supporting documents.
- At least two letters of recommendation, including one academic and one describing your service to school or community.
- Transcript of high school and/or community college (if applicable).
- Information about the college or trade school you would like to attend.
- An essay of up to 500 words explaining how you have demonstrated the Rotary Motto of “Service Above Self."
