Thursday's Meeting is In-Person and a Zoom Meeting
Thursday's meeting is in-person at Continental and a zoom meeting at 12:15.  Please see Lisa's email for the zoom link and there is no need to order your lunch choice because we are going to a buffet style lunch.  Our speaker is member Bill Donahue who will give us suggestions during an uncertain economy.
Last Week's Meeting
Last week our scholarship committee (Martha, Dan S., Shawn, Jing and Nanette) invited our three scholarship winners and their parents to our meeting.  The three winners, as they appear in the front row from left to right are:  Victoria Feng who graduated from Stevenson H.S. where she was the founder of Launch Student News, the managing editor of Web, Statesman and a representative of the Student Leadership Advisory Council among other volunteerism.  She will be attending the University of Chicago where she will continue freelance writing and and her goal is to be a reporter shedding light on societal inequality.  Our next recipient is Kristy Rubino, a Buffalo Grove H.S. graduate whose volunteerism included coaching volleyball, teaching in her church's liturgy classes and as a mentor helping freshman adjust to high school.  She will be attending Southern Illinois University in their automotive program where after graduation she wants to be the positive influence to students that her automotive instructor in high school was to her.  The next pictured awardee is Kiersten O'Malley who graduated from Buffalo Grove H.S. and was an Orchestra Executive Officer, a French Club Executive Officer, a peer mentor at Special Gifts Theatre and a high school peer counselor.  She will be attending Ringling College of Art and Design, majoring in computer animation and would like to one day work in that field and publish a graphic novel or two.  Good luck to these promising students who all demonstrated Service Above Self.

President Lisa inducted a new member, John Klick, into our club.  Danny Moya is his sponsor.  Congratulations John and welcome to our club.
Also, proving that Nanette will sing to raise money for Rotary, Ron Bernardi asked for a song in exchange for a donation.  Needless to say, he was enjoying the showtune.
