Lisa is forming a new committee to offer monthly community outreach events. She is having the first meeting of this committee on August 10th at 11:30, before our regular meeting. The Village of Buffalo Grove is seeking applicants for the position of Village Trustee to fill an unexpired term ending April 30, 2019. The opening is due to former Trustee Steven Trilling having resigned his position after 25 years of service. Candidates possessing skills and experience in community affairs, business administration, organizational leadership and/or community development are encouraged to apply. In accordance with Illinois Compiled Statues (65 ILCS 5/3.1-10-5), any person appointed to the position of Trustee shall be a qualified elector of the Village of Buffalo Grove and have resided within the corporate limits for at least one year prior to the date of appointment.
The Village Board will review candidate applications in August of 2017. Individuals who would like to be considered for this position are encouraged to email a resume and cover letter indicating their interest and highlighting relevant experience to: Julie Kamka, Deputy Village Clerk.
