We are elated to announce that our member Adriane Johnson has been appointed to the State Senate to replace Senator Link.  Adriane is most deserving of this honor and will represent District 30 with intelligence, high ethical conduct and compassion.  Adriane was sponsored for our Rotary club by Martha Weiss and Rick Drazner, and we know Rick would be just as proud as we are of her.

Click HERE for a newspaper article about her.  She will not be fined because she mentioned she is a member of the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove.  Congratulations Adriane!!

The Environmental Committee is offering a chance to collect seeds from native plants at Willow Stream Park on Saturday, October 24th at 9 am for about two hours.  The seeds will be planted at our local park district parks this winter.  We will meet at the swimming pool parking lot off of Farrington Drive.  Please dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them.  For questions, please contact Martha Weiss at 847-226-9200.
