"I was truly overwhelmed by the Rotarian of the Year Award. I never in a million years would have put myself in the category of the talented people who deserve this award in our club (anyone who was in Deenie’s backyard saw how shocked I was!). I honestly don’t feel that I deserve this because I did not give my all to our club in the way I would have liked…. But what this award has done is motivated me to live up to it’s name… As I proceed forward with my next adventures I can’t wait to find ways to weave Rotary into my life wherever I am. And I will carry with me not only my passion for Rotary but my love for the people that make our club special. BG Rotary has been a GIFT in my life and the only way I know I can repay that gift is to carry on as a committed and passionate Rotarian in both spirit and action!"

Shannon was very appreciative of the travel gifts that our club gave her for her next journey (thank you to Adriane, the amazing shopper).  Shannon promised she will be back in September for a visit.  Good luck Shannon!

Our treasurer, Brian, went through the process of setting up Amazon Smile for the Rotary Foundation.   Here is the link if you want to check it out:  https://smile.amazon.com/ch/36-3653525

It's a great way to support our Foundation any time you are ordering from Amazon!
