Last Week's Meeting
Last week Leslie gave her Member Moment on zoom from Las Vegas and she has, of course, devoted herself to several community causes there.  We also heard the very interesting classification speech from Dan Stanczak, the Director of Finance and Business Services at the Buffalo Grove Park District.  He talked about his ancestors and how they came to the US and how active his wife, a recreation manager at the park district, and his three daughters are.  He mentioned how close the families in his neighborhood are and how important dance has been to his family.  Dan is the consummate volunteer and we are so glad that he is a member of our club. President Juliet led a discussion about a possible merger with another club, and this will be further discussed at our business meeting.  Brett from the River Cities Rotary Club told us about their Classic 5000 Reverse Raffle on April 17.  See more about this event in Upcoming Events in this bulletin.

Our Club Presents the Officer of the Year at the Village Meeting
On Monday, March 2, President Juliet awarded our club's Police Officer of the Year award to Officer Edwin Zuniga in recognition of his exceptional dedication and leadership throughout the year.  We had a great representation of the our club at the meeting.  Thanks to all who attended.  We will make a $250 donation to Rotary International and a $250 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, the charity selected by Officer Zuniga.
