Last week we had our business meeting.  Prior to the business meeting, the five students that we sponsored to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award conference spoke to us about their awesome experiences and how much they enjoyed the conference.  We sent Chantel Lapins (just graduated from Stevenson High School and is our Outbound student going to Brazil in August), Kyle Legge (who also just graduated from Stevenson High School and is our Outbound student going to Taiwan in August), our Inbound student Danny from Ecuador who just graduated from Buffalo Grove High School, Joseph Davidson who is going to be an senior at Buffalo Grove High School and an Interact officer this August, and Steven Buchholz who is going to be a Junior at BG High, is an Eagle Scout and is currently Danny's host brother.  They all did a great job thanking our club for their RYLA experience.

Sample dozens of lesser known craft beers while enjoying a complimentary buffet at our Craft Beer Tasting at 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Sunset Foods in Long Grove, Illinois. The beer is hearty. The food is delicious.  The evening is sponsored by Sunset Foods benefiting the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove. The event is open to the public and dress is casual. The event benefits our community and beyond. Tickets are available online at www.BGRotary.org and at the Long Grove Sunset Foods customer service desk. Just a reminder about the annual Relay for Life that the two Interact Clubs of Stevenson and Buffalo Grove High Schools sponsor.  This year it will be held at BG High on Friday, June 12 starting at 7 pm.  The students have the option of staying overnight, but most adults leave after the moving luminaria ceremony at 10 pm.

If you are interested in attending, or to make a donation or purchase a luminaria to honor a loved one, Martha Weiss has a team and she is inviting club members to join her.  Please see: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/tenforten
