Last Week's Meeting
Last week Nanette provided her member moment. Deenie provided questions for F&F about the Oscars in Leslie's absence.
Mary Beth Schaye of the Urban Canopy  Compost Club was our speaker.  She talked about the importance of composting. When you do it in your yard you should do 3 parts "brown" 1 part "greens" see picture.
The Urban Canopy provides a service for curbside compost Pick-Up Service. Fill a pre-lined 5 gallon bucket with food waste, meat, diary, coffee grounds, leftovers and compostable packaging. Set your bucket by garage on pickup day and a new clean bucket is left for you. The reward is 5 buckets of free compost per year. They also have Local Unified Community Supported Agriculture (LUCSA). Full share $55 per share per week and you get seasonal produce, dozen eggs, Artisan bread, beverages, mushrooms and additional local produce offered. TheUrbanCanopy.org
